Our next stop was the statue-lined one mile walkway to visit Changling Tomb. We went through a gate at the start of the sacred walking leading to tombs, and walked along the paved path and saw many statues of animals and gods who were to protect the emperor after death,. First were the animals -- each one first standing and then a statue sitting – two of each animal, facing each other .
